Just spend £8.00 at the butchers on 2 steaks, and don't want to mess up the cooking!

In a pan? Grill? Whats the best way?

On a ridged grill pan. Heat the pan up extremely hot (on your hottest ring) and then sear on each side.

grill

Agree with Anna - i find a domestic grill doesn't get hot enough and too easy to then overcook the steak.

Let the meat come to room temperature before you cook it. And make sure you let it rest (cover it with foil to keep it warm)for a good few minutes before you dish it up.

I agree with anna, and make sureit is room temp, especialy if like me you like it "blue.

Infact just wave it in the general direction of the pan.
