1 egg
2oz flour
2oz suagr
2 oz marg.

increase quantities depending on how many you want to make but stick to the rule of 1 egg for every 2 oz everything else and you cant really go wrong. If you want choc cake chuck cocoa in til it looks about right

you could substitute the suagr for sugar if you prefer

AMumInScotland · 22/01/2009 12:32

Quantites would be 2 eggs, 4oz sugar, 4oz marge, 4 oz flour, or multiply it up if you want lots

But I can't recall oven temperature for sure, maybe 180?

As the others have said in terms of quantities; in the oven for approx. 15 mins but do check them!

AMumInScotland · 22/01/2009 12:34

My timings are always "when they smell cooked"

saythatagain · 22/01/2009 12:36

Yes, I always know when they are 'singing'!! Thats a tip from my granny!

gigglinggoblin · 22/01/2009 12:38

If you chuck a bit of milk in the mix it makes the texture really nice

thank you, they are going in the aga so i just have to keep checking them, i will think you you all when i am eating them
