@tamum

We have Entertaining with Cranks too- it was published a few years after the Cranks Recipe Book and has slightly more fancy stuff in it, so I don't think they're just different versions at different times. I would try and get to a bookshop and have a flick through the one I linked to- I bet it's the same.
Hello, With apologies for contacting you at such a busy time of year, may I explain why..... Having seen that you have a copy of entertaining with Cranks, I am hoping you may be able/willing to help me. Our friend who always made a recipe from that book at Christmas, died on Dec 23rd 2019. I did track down a copy of the recipe but during the first lockdown the battery on my laptop failed, I hadn't backed everything up and I lost a lot of files including that recipe. I would really appreciate it if you would be able to send me a copy of the recipe somehow, either a photocopy, or even a close-up photo with a mobile phone, so long as its legible. The recipe is the celebratory Chestnut and brazil nut roast though I don't remember the exact order of words of the title I'm afraid. If you are too busy right now I would still appreciate it at any more convenient time. I hope you have a safe, healthy and enjoyable Christmas. Many thanks in anticipation, Pauline

I've been looking for an old cookbook from a restaurant in Brighton called 'Food for Friends'. It's the pre-1980s one. (It went a bit nouvelle cuisine after that) Does anyone have one of those? I'd be happy to pay for it.
