I have made a bolognese sauce with some frozen mince meat (it was frozen when i bought it) now I've cooked it and added sauce etc, can I refreeze??

I'm sooo scared of poisoning everyone!!

yes it's fine as long as it's reheated properly - ie piping hot all the way through

Yes, assuming that the mince was previously frozen in its raw state, it is ok to freeze it again after cooking.

Well, I have done it, but I don't know if it's recommended.

Mind you, we didn't get ill. In fact I think there's a portion of beef casserole in the freezer now that was made with frozen meat.

Is that true of poultry too, that if you freeze it when raw you can refreeze it when cooked?

You cna refreeze frozen food if it has been cooked as you have killed the bacteria that goes into 'hibernation' while ferezing. Just reheat it properly.
You can't refreeze it if you didn't cook it, ie freeze, thaw, then freeze is a no-no
