Stuffed peppers/couretttes/aubergines.
Good old stew - used to have it when we were broke with mince instead of braising steak.
Moussaka.

Dontcha know that meatloaf is very 'in' with political movers and shakers at the moment.

how about this

Stilton burgers are goood
we have stilont crumbled into ours and the girls have gouda, then grill them, very gooey and don't need any eggs or anything if you squish them up (dd1 loves this part)

Also second meatballs, DD2 can eat a grown ups portion and dd1 can make perfect meatballs, just add whatever seasoning and plop them in liquid to cook (usually tomatoey based sauce)

Fried with mexican seasoning, onion peppers and chillis.

Serve with taco shells, leafy salad , chopped cherry toms salsa and soured cream.

Very yummy, but very messy.

We're having Minced Beef and Onion Hotpot, in our tonight. We all love it(esp the Dc's).

I just serve it with some extra veg and crusty bread.

Preheat Oven to 200

450g minced Beef
2 large potatoes, peeled and sliced about 1/2 inch thick
1 large onion,chopped
1 carrot, diced
1 stick celery, diced
3 mushrooms, chopped small
1 tbsp tomato puree
1 tbsp mixed herbs
1 tsp dry english mustard
worcestershire sauce
tin of beans-juicier the better.
salt and pepper
butter

put the sliced potatoes in pan and boil till slightly soft, then drain and set aside

In a frying pan brown the mince - when brown set aside,in same frying pan fry onion, carrots, celery, mushrooms
Readd mince and season and add all the rest of the ingredients except the butter, and cook gently for 5 minutes. If needed add a little water, if it seem to be a bit dry

Place mince mix in a casserole dish and layer the potatoes on top. Brush the potatoes with butter and cook in the oven until the potatoes have slightly browned.

Yum-Yum
