Right, why is the bottom of my cake burnt?

Oven is electric, top oven is normal, single shelf, bottom oven is fan, double shelf thing. Used a spring bottom tin to make a lemon cake in the top oven. Cake fab, but bottom burnt. Why? Greased and base lined tin btw. XXXXXXX

was your tin standing on a baking sheet by any chance? Seem to remember that this will increase the heat to the bottom of your tin (something to do with conducting heat, but I dropped Physics in the 3rd year so can't be more specific than that!).
