Quick food hygiene question about lamb in car all day!!

Hello, I bought some minced lamb this morning and had it in the car all day - decided that was ok as it's cold out and I was going to make a shepherd's pie tonight. But got in too late so haven't yet. Now want to know if I have to drag my exhausted self off the sofa and do it now or if I can wait till tomorrow without poisoning anyone.
