Trying to get meals organised before DS2 arrives and just wondered if I can do the egg & breadcrumbs bit to a turkey steak and then freeze it? Obviously you can buy commerially done ones but not sure if home-made would work or of coating woudl drop off when you defrost?

And any other suggestions for freezable meals that aren't bolognaise or stews would be gratefully received!

Yes you can, I do this with nuggetts and fishfingers for the DC and they always seem fine

It works for me I do double cover and defrost the night before before cooking.
I did a HUGE pan of mince then divided into : meatballs ( added spices 7 b crimbs and egg). Shep Pie, Chilli,. and meatloaf. DId chicken and broccoli. Also stewed apple, and a couple of fruit and savory pies. Then freezer was full so gave up . Good luck !
