Urgent - is 5 hours enough for a slow cooker recipe?

I haven't used it before, but have some diced beef, carrots and potatoes and would like to try using it for our tea.
Is this enough time? Any tips? Thank you!

it depends on the cut of beef, if stewing beef it will be cooked but IMO needs a couple of hours cooked. Whereas if say steak, will be fine on high

meant - a couple of hours longer to make it more tender

On high 3-4 hours ok usually.

It says 'british beef diced', so not stewing.
Thanks so much for replying so quickly.
I'll give it a go ... feels like a new toy!
Thanks

It's all in and on.
I remember reading somewhere about order of meat and veg ... which is recommended first? (Having put in seared meat, then seared onions, potatoes and carrots and then herbs).
PS it isn't very interesting to watch
