Omelette/Fritatta type thing?

Flier · 05/01/2009 14:17

I sometimes chop one up and add to a macaroni cheese dish sometimes add mushrooms or tomatoes too, kids love it.

chipo · 05/01/2009 16:17

Is that like those big geman sausage type things. If so the cook some plain white rice, I large frying pan or wok fry an onion and some mushrooms, cut the sausage into rings and add to onions and mushrooms and fry a bit. add a little curry powder or paste to the mix and let it cook out for a bit and then add the rice and mix well.
We are haing this for dinner tonight.

You can add other veg if you like.

pinkspottywellies · 05/01/2009 21:41

On crackers.

RiojaLover75 · 05/01/2009 21:45

Throw it in the bin.

VinoEsmeralda · 05/01/2009 21:51

PavlovtheCat · 05/01/2009 21:53

Chuck it in the bin?

Littlefish · 05/01/2009 21:55
brimfull · 05/01/2009 21:55

dog?

MrsMerryHenry · 05/01/2009 21:56

Technically it doesn't count as food, so you can bin it with a clear conscience.

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 05/01/2009 21:57

Am I the only one who would have it sliced in a soft bread roll with fried onions, ketchup and mustard?

Littlefish · 05/01/2009 21:58

Yup - you're on your own there Mary .

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 05/01/2009 21:59

And I'd feed it to the family too.

Grim and proud, me.

PavlovtheCat · 05/01/2009 22:00

I feel I might have to hide this thread, as the mere words MMMMM are making me feel sick

Dominion · 05/01/2009 22:01

Not much I am afraid.
Do you have a dog?

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 05/01/2009 22:02

Are they like a fatter version of those Herta Frankfuters?

I quite like those.

frumpygrumpy · 05/01/2009 22:02

get to bed!!!!!

EyeballsintheSky · 05/01/2009 22:04

Not one rude suggestion? Wow, everyone is grown up and sensible tonight

I'd have it with onions in a soft roll too.

Linnet · 05/01/2009 22:05

boil some pasta, add tomato sauce of your choice, some chopped up mozzarella, some ripped basil leaves and the chopped up sausage. Put in dish in the oven until cheese has melted. Lovely.

Littlefish · 05/01/2009 22:05

LOL at Eyeballs. I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole - let alone part of my anatomy

PurplePillow · 05/01/2009 22:05

Add to pasta and bolognaise sauce and sprinkle with cheese MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM lovely

MaryMotherOfCheeses · 05/01/2009 22:07

No, sorry, I wouldn't ponce around with it. This isn't food you can pretend is good. that's a waste of valuable cooking effort if you ask me.

No, if you're going to eat junk, appreciate it as junk I say.

Those fried onions can take 10 minutes to do properly you know!

liath · 05/01/2009 22:08

Fry up some onions, garlic and tomato. Add to pasta and sprinkle with parmesan. While waiting for it to cool take the thingy sausage out to the garden, dig a deep hole and BURY it. Yuck!!

MrsMerryHenry · 05/01/2009 22:26

Serve it with this

puppydetox · 05/01/2009 22:33

sausage and potato salad's been a mainstay in my family since i was a nipper: boil potatoes in big pan with sausage (in bag, yum! plastictastic ), when cooked (heating makes them massively more edible) chop em all up stir into vinaigrette, finely chopped raw onion. serve warm with green salad. bloody lovely stuff.
