If so, how long would I put it on for?

I always defrost mince in microwave.
Put on defrost, 400g setting is usually enough for 500g of mince. It takes just over 5 minutes on the defrost setting

I do it as Fruity says. I've also been known to plonk the lump of mince in the saucepan on the cooker and as it heats up and softens, break the mince into pieces. Probably against all H&S rules but no one has died.

yes, of course you can, i always do, or you can just chuck it in the frying pan frozen and keep turning and hacking it about until it is all defrosted.

Yes, that is what a microwave is for.

I would say to start off with 5 minutes at 50%.

littleboyblue · 29/12/2008 17:47
