Has anyone here ever made a kind of sprout puree?

I have sprouts.

I have creme fraiche.

Can I cook the sprouts, whizz them up with the CF, add a bit of S&P and have a delicious side dish with which to amaze and suprise mt PIL with?

Or would that be a bad idea?

If you've got blue cheese, I'd add some stock and make sprout and blue cheese soup as a starter. You can serve it with a dab of creme fraiche.

I have stilton. I wanted to serve them/it with cold ham, red cabbage, spuds and chutney. I thought a pile of sprouts wouldn't really 'go' with the whole festive ploughmans type angle I was hoping to create.
