I would freeze it and use it to make chilli or some kind of spicy soup at a further date

freeze it. Handy for when you fancy making some soup.

Lulumamaloveslatkes · 28/12/2008 15:08

thank you, i was hoping you would say that, rather than giving me a very fancy recipe that would take hours to make.

has been v v cold in the kitchen , so am sure it will be ok to freeze it even though t has been out

freeze in ice cube trays if possible and then in a zip lock bag

Lulumamaloveslatkes · 28/12/2008 15:17

why is that?

Oh, just easier if you've made a lot, so you can chuck in a couple of cubes into a sauce or whatever without having to defrost the lot.

Lulumamaloveslatkes · 28/12/2008 15:20

oh I see.... that is a good idea, thank you

If you are unsure about it, give it a thorough boil through for 15 mins then let it cool quickly before you freeze it.

Otherwise sprout and blue cheese soup it is!
