I bought 2 cheeseboards, one for the dinner party last saturday (was too full to even look at it) same with yesturday (inlaws round) .
Now as a rule I can't stand anything other than cheddar and feta, I've tried, even those little mini ones you get in Tesco (tried one last week and spat it out).

What can I do with it, I'd like to cook it in something that'll hopefully disguise the fact i'm eating it, sort of gently adding a small aount of cheese to a dish so you can't taste very much of it.

I hate waste and i'm not going to chuck 2 cheeseboards

I have stilton 2 lots of
brie 2 lots of
cranberry roulade (think its called that)
camambere

The rest I can eat becuase its mature cheddar so I can do cheese on toast with it.

for instance can do a pasta and add some cheese and brocolli to it but not so much that I can taste stilton IYSWIM.

You can put stilton in soup.

LongDroopyBoobyLady · 26/12/2008 22:56

Put it out for the mice.

PestoHoHoHoMonster · 26/12/2008 22:57

Blue cheese burgers go down rather well in the Pesto household.

cranberry roulade sounds revolting. camembert / brie are same sort of thing. you could bake it and have with bread. stilton is lovely and you shoudl take opportunity to acquire the taste.

why did you buy two lots and not reuse first one?

stuffedfullofturkey · 26/12/2008 23:11

mmmmmmmm im so jelous i LOVE brie and camembert but cant eat this xmas as pregnant but blue stilton yuk! and same goes for cranberry roulade! maybe you could just meake patas and sauces for stuff with it????? or like fishie said bake the 2 nicer 1's and have them with bread or veg sticks?

shinyshoes · 26/12/2008 23:12

I bought the two lots together one for each of the days (christmas day and my dinner party the previous saturday). I finished my food shopping the saturday before christmas. I stupidly thought people would eat it, but everyone was so full they didnt get opened.

try it on your children, they have surprising taste in cheese. mine is currently eating bankruptcy-making amounts of parmesan.

Freeze it

georgimama · 27/12/2008 15:51

I don't think soft cheeses will freeze. Def bake the camenbert and brie and have with crusty bread, we had this for lunch today with chilli jam.

Stilton you can make sauce or as someone else said, put in burgers. Yum.
