Turkey and rosemary olive oil?

I want to coat the turkey in a thin layer of some kind of cooking oil to make the skin crispy. I have some rosemary-infused olive oil that smells gorgeous but will it taste ok on turkey? It's only the 2nd time I've ever cooked christmas lunch and the first time I've cooked a proper turkey. I just want it to be perfect

how strong is it? I think the rosemary might be too overpowering on a turkey and is a very distinctive flavour. I would use anythign else if you have it.

i am sure it will be lovely. good luck.

It's a fairly strong infusion. Might have to go and get something else I suppose. Any suggestions?

oh any fat will work - sunflower oil / butter and a sprinkle of salt - you want a crispness and texture - you will have flavour everywhere else and from the bird.

Great, thank you so much. Will probably use sunflower oil then
