A tiny bit of brandy in a recipe that kids would eat...

I'm making these fab truffly things and each one has almost 2mls of brandy in. There's no cooking involved so all the alcohol will stay there. Could I give this to 5yoDD and her 3yo cousin without worrying about it?! If she ate 3 she'd be eating 1 teaspoon of brandy. I know nothing about spirits or how much alcohol that is. Mind you, I would never let her sip brandy and I suppose a teaspoon is about a sip isn't it... so maybe there's my answer. I am just feeling lazy and don't want to make 2 batches

I doubt they'll like them tbh!

don't sweat it, really, it won't matter AT ALL

My kids would not eat three of them as that would make them taste strongly of Brandy. They hate the alcohol taste. No idea about the teaspoon thing although my gut reaction is that it will not harm them particularly but sounds a lot for a three year old.
Why not buy some gingerbread biscuits, make a batch of icing and let them decorate their own treat? Less fuss, less time and an activity thrown in to keep them busy

I'd make sure there were other things on offer, but a) I doubt your kids would eat them, and b) below a certain % of alcohol (1% I think) your stomach acids destroy it anyway. This is why we don't get drunk on bread.

Thanks everyone.
I don't think they will taste strongly of brandy as there is so much other flavour in there. But I do think she might not like them anwyay as they have Xmas pudding in and that's a fairly strong flavour. There will be loads of other stuff for her to eat but I know she'll want to try them as they look so cute (they are Nigella's Xmas pudding truffles from her new book if anybody's seen that - they're so adorable! or at least the ones in the picture are, mine will probably be Christmas Splats ) Cockney, I was thinking of bread too! And fruit - isn't there a certain amount on the skin of fruits? I did a lot of research on all this when I was pg with her and found out about the alcohol content in bread etc. but have forgotten it all now.
