Just found last years Xmas pudding,out of date but do you think it would be ok?

It's in a sealed container????? We walk to mums for Xmas lunch so don't need one this year,thought it might be nice with ice cream.

How out of date is it? I'd at least open it and have a look/smell/small taste. If its sealed and if its not TOO out of date, it could well be fine. As you say, its full of alcohol. On the other hand if mould is growing on it, then I'd bin it...

No don't eat it. Imagine if you got ill this close to Christmas? It's not worth it!!

It'll probably be fine. Open it ans see if there's mould growing on it. If not it'll be fine, I'm sure.

It's best before, already ill, will poke it and see,but will err on the side of caution

Or leave it a week, open it then

15 months out of date and still OK
