Can I use Irish cream liqueur instead of Coffee?

I'm making Nigella's easy choc fruit cake from her xmas book.
The recipie says I need to use coffee liqueur but I haven't been able to find any in the supermarkets. I did manage to get Irish cream liqueur instead, do you think tha will work or will it ruin it?

It does say on the bottle that it shouldn't be mixed with citrus drinks, the recipie also includes the juice and zest of 2 oranges.

I did also notice there was a bottle of liquid that was pure coffee extract I was wondering if maybe I should use that instead.

Anyone got any advice?

TIA.

the coffee liquer may be tia maria,i think that is coffee flavoured.irish cream liquer is whisky and cream mixed together, used to work in a pub.

Thanks bubbles, it does say you can use Tia maria but as we dont drink alchol and so buying a bottle seems a bit of a waste.

Are tia maria and irish cream similar? I've never tasted either.
Is the Tia maria whisky too?

You do need Tia Maria tbh. If you don't drink usually, you could buy a minuture bottle. Smaller supermarkets like Somerfields and Co-op, usually sell them, behind the counter with the ciggies!
