Do I have to make creme brulee in ramekins?

I want to make a creme brulee for Christmas Day, but can only find a recipe to make it in ramekins. Does anyone have a recipe to make a large brulee, with the correct quantities?

TIA

OK, DH (chef) says NO! but, the larger and deeper the creme brulee, the more rubbery it has the potential to be.
He suggests making it in teacups if you don't have ramekins, but I suspect the "individual" thing is not the point.
He says, so long as you cook it in the water bath thingy it will be fine (but does not have a recipe/quantities without digging out his books)

I'm sure he will if no-one else has better advice.
