URRRGGGHH What do I feed my non-foodie parents? First time they have come to our house for Chrsitmas (feel all grown up ) but dont eat lots of things we have on a daily basis. I cant stand soup - too filling, Smoked salmon a non starter - and I am NOT going down the ham and melon route!!! Any ideas? Thanks

prawn cocktail - you could go retro

Iklboo · 18/12/2008 13:37

Pate mushrooms - grill a portabello mushroom for about 5 mins, slap some pate on top, dab of garlic butter & pinch of mixed herbs & pop back under grill for another 3-5 mins and serve with some salady stuff

Prawn cocktail

I did say prawn coktail to my husband but he didnt get the retro element!

Why don't you just cook what you'd like - they might like something a bit different to what they usually eat - my inlaws are non-foodies and are practically licking the plates clean when they come over for dinner despite their reservations about eating something 'different'.
