help, my flour is out of date on in november 2008, can I use it still???

I was going to ask if I could use self rsaising instead for macaroni cheese but thjat went out of date in june 2008

Mmm... I use flour for a lot longer than this. If there are no weevils in it, I'd consider it good to go!

If it's 'best before', rather than, 'use by' then it means it's best if used before November 2008 but isn't dangerous if used afterwards.

I'm sure I've used actual weevil flour before now

I don't think I have ever checked as long as nothing is moving about in it it will be ok.
