defrosted some frozen chicken stock on monday with plans to make soup. kept running out of time so have finally made soup [lots and lots of soup] today.

can i refreeze the soup?

[sorry to sound thick, we've recently begun to eat meat after 20 yrs as a veggie so i'm unsure of stuff like this...]

many thanks

I wouldn't.

I would - if you kept the defrosted stock in the fridge after it defrosted.

it defrosted OUT of the fridge for a few hours on monday but has been in the fridge since i realised i was running out of time.

yes, chicken stock is eternal as long as it gets boiled before it gets eaten

MerryChristmasPANDAGHappy09 · 10/12/2008 16:45

oh I would - I have done similar before and not given anyone food poisoning yet!

ok thanks - i will! and make sure it's thoroughly boiled.
