Made a flan today using bought pastry, put in it eggs, cream, spinach (cooked) salt and pepper. It tastes lovely but it has a really gritty horrible texture, I just cannt understand what i have done wrong, its bad enough to not want to eat it! All utensils etc were clean etc 9I always check) so am mystified, but maybe I have made a simple mistake as i dont normally make flans etc.
Anyone who can help me solve the mystery I would be grateful!!
