I have a pack of the ready prepared Traditional Vegetables for Roasting, but have managed to pick up a packet that has the cooking instructions underneath torn off!

Anyone have a packet they can check and let me know how long for, on what heat and what to do with the dressing and when? Please?

No kidding Korma! Just you're talking to the woman who set fire to her hubbie's pizza last night, so kinda hoping to have a fantastic roast on the table for when he comes home at 5, and wanting the veggies to be done the same time as the chicken, and not burnt to a crisp

I used to blame it on our old oven but parents purchased a new one for us, in the vague hope we'd invite them over for dinner one night , and still my cooking is abismal.

Cheers people for all your help

how was your tea biscuits?

i was pretty impressed. we had the chicken, veg, sticky toffee pud and cava. with the addition of some peas it made a decent meal for 3+toddler and i'll get stock out of the carcass too. a bit heavy on the meat and light on the veg for me, but everyone else prefers it that way. we've put the cava away for xmas so i reckon it was a pretty good deal all in all

Bumperlicious · 22/11/2008 20:28

Oooh, we did this, had a yummy honey roast ham for lunch with gorgeous mash and some cava. Just polished of the sticky toffee pudding - yum!

We did this 2 weeks ago and I got the chocolates instead of wine, they were delish!

puppydavies · 22/11/2008 20:29

i thought the portions were more generous this week. we have to stretch it from 2 to nearly 4 and the whole chicken and enormous pud really helps.

biscuitsmustbedunkedintea · 22/11/2008 20:33

Wanted the cava, but Bluewater M&S had obviously run out, as they had 2 white wines instead of the one advertised. We had the chicken, veg and choc fudge pudding. Chicken was gorgeous, just fell off the bone and lots of taste too. Wasn't too impressed with the veg but I decided to leave off the dressing in the end as DH is fussy. However it has made me think about buying prepared parsnips for Chrimbo dinner as I can never cook parsnips correctly!

Was too full for pud earlier so just cooking it now, looks good.

Do enjoy the meal for a tenner deals. Worth it for the wine and pud alone

there was a fizzy pinot grigio last time that was really good, i'd buy that full price and was hoping for it to be in the offer this week but no joy.

my veg cooked pretty unevenly, but tasted good, i liked the dressing. i'm a bit about the chicken but seeing as i'm pretty skint this month can't really be chooser.

We joined in at the weekend and were happily stuffed by the end of the meal. We had the pork medallions with apple&cider sauce, ultimate mash (swoon), and I braised some leek and courgette in butter. Dessert was plum and cherry crumble with our brandy custard. Bottle of red wine..... oh yum!
