Best slow cooker recipe book with roasts and puddings in?

Just got my 1st slow cooker - thought it would come with a basic recipe book but just got a leaflet with a few truly rubbish recipes in it.

I want something pretty basic just to get me started with the machine, with guidelines for roasts, and ideas for puddings.

I know you can use normal recipes, and that's what I'm going to do this week - but would like something specific to slow cookers just to start off with.

www.a-crock-cook.com/index.html

I found this site useful. Also there are loads of recipes on the Money Saving Expert website.

i'm glad you asked. i found a slow cooker someone gave to me as a wedding gift and i'd LOVE to use it, but don't know what to make or how to make it.

will be watching this thread with interest.

Oh and I also have the Lakeland slow cooker book, which is great. Just noticed you asked for books

I've not seen it, but heard good things about the one that Lakeland sells.

Ha - x-post, percent .

One of the reviews on the lakeland site is a bit offputting though ("kind of complicated and require quite a lot of effort for a gadget that essentially I use to throw things together quickly and leave on a slow simmer while I'm off doing other things than cooking"). I think I need something more basic.

I think this may be what I need

Hmm - good point: I hadn't read all the reviews, just the ones on the main page. That one you linked to sounds v good too.
