twice frozen salmon - safe to eat?!

I had some salmon fillets (suitable for freezing) which I froze on day of purchase a month ago. I defrosted it Sunday & made a salmon/veggie/potato pureed casserole for 9mo which I gave her & then froze the rest. Is it safe to defrost this, reheat and serve to her or should I bin it?!

if you have cooked the salmon (as i understand from your post in that you made the casserole, and now you want to freeze it) then it is fine to freeze it again.

I only realised this last week after throwing away the leftovers from a lovely fish pie!!!My mum told me i was daft.

safe yes

but texture may have suffered

sorry, i am a muppet. just re-read and realised you have already frozen and now want to re-heat. this too is fine, just make sure its piping hot then leave to cool

Hi all!
Yep - sorry I am also a muppet & didn't explain well! I froze it once raw & have cooked it, then frozen it again!
OK- glad to hear this is not a food poisoning issue as she really liked it & it's good healthy stuff (not to mention would be a big waste of cash to bin it!). Many, many thanks!
