no

the peppermint creams keep longest, then fudge, and truffles only a week or so

Thank you, shame, I always make such thins as gifts and hate the last minute making of then.

I would say you can freeze undecorated truffles, if they are made like a ganache (as in cream, chocolate and butter)

Really? I would have thought you could freeze fudge. Or does it go a bit crystally?

wilbur · 10/11/2008 10:07

Says here that you can freeze fudge if it's wrapped well.

Thank you wilbur, there's one job made easier, the other two anyone?

I would say that if you were keeping them for yourself that you could freeze them but fr gifts tbh I wouldn't risk it, I think they might go soggy/sweaty when defrosting

Hmm, am thinking of making fudge with the dcs for Xmas presents now. Is there any kind of savoury equivalent for little edible gifts? Dh's family don't have a sweet tooth but I'd love to make them something with the kids.

Ooh, those looks just the thing, camenere. I wanted it to be something they could pop out in a dish for nibbles, rather than chutney or some such.
