JIMINYCRICKET: How long should I cook your chicken cacciatore for?

You said 'a few hours' on my 'minimal preparation dinner recipe' thread - can you give me an idea of how many hours and at what temp? Sorry to be pathetic and thanks for the recipe!

Hi Franch, sorry, haven't been on for ages. I do it for 8 hours in the slow cooker or approx two hours on something like 120 degrees in a casserole in the oven - I do tend to overcook rather than undercook though...I'm trying to reform and discovering that roast dinners, stir fry's etc taste much better if they're not frazzled to death! HTH

That's OK Jiminy, in the end I did the chicken briefly in the frying pan before putting it in the casserole, and just cooked for about 45 mins. Anyway it was delicious - thanks for the recipe!
