Hi i am using my slow cooker for the first time tomorrow to make a chicken casserole.
The chicken is left over from roast today. When should i put that in as it is already cooked?
I was going to add lentils- will they take long?

From the other threads it seems to be 8hours for veg on low...anything interesting i can pop in?

Thanks in advance!

Ready cooked chicken, add an hour before serving. If the lentils are red they will cook easily.

Thank you. i was going to pop in some sweetcorn too so that will pro not take long either?

No, won't take long, just so long as it's warmed through.
Have fun with your new toy.

Also, don't put more liquid in that you need, as it won't evaporate like a "normal" cassarole. You might find that it will need to be thickenned too. I use cornflour for that.
