Costco. Can anyone be a member? Totally confused by their website.

Just that really. Wouldn't mind going to the one they're openng in Croydon as it's not too far but I can't see how to become a member. I'm not trade but it doesn't give prices for pleb membership. Someone here must be a member and able to educate me in the ways of Costco Please

Yes anyone can be a member of Costco, there are 2 categories - trade and individual members. Not sure about the cost to join for non trade though so can't advise there.

They should have a list of eligible categories for individual membership on their website.

I transferred my membership from the USA, where it is open, but would qualify here as a teacher.

I'm wondering if they have dropped their requirements. I just had a look at their website, and they don't seem to have criteria apart from for trade membership.

It is worth phoning them ahead of a long trip to make sure, but I think they may have opened up membership to anyone.

Only trade can go in before noon though. I made the mistake of getting there for 11 o'clock once and they wouldn't let me in for an hour.

Yes, they are very strict about the noon thing. I remember having an infant in snow at 11:50, and they still wouldn't let me in.

I'm def going to have to go up and get a pair this week.. Unless of course I find a willing m'netter to get me some and post them on....??!

If you know anyone that has trade membership and is willing to add you to there membership it £14.10 as against 23.50 for individual membership I would offer but we have allocated all six that we are allowed.

I saw a list of which jobs can join and it seems incredibly random!
