i love apple and date crumble

roisin · 19/10/2008 09:22

stew and freeze.

We use stewed apple through the year:
for crumbles
served with porridge (yummy)
served with rice pudding
on its own
mixed with some raspberries or blackberries
with cornflakes on top
with natural yoghurt
with cream

bellavita · 19/10/2008 09:23

If you don't want to use them all straight away, wrap each one individually in newspaper and put in a box in the garage - they will last and then you can use at your leisure.

Flier · 19/10/2008 09:24

stew and freeze is probably the best bet, altough i'll maybe do as bellavita suggests and put in garage, thanks for that

thanks everyone

warning - every year we've stored ours in the garage they've attracted and then been eaten by mice.

foxinsocks · 19/10/2008 09:25

ooh I love red cabbage with apple

bellavita · 19/10/2008 09:26

We have always been lucky with ours Furball - they have been in tact when used.
