Anyone have Tana Ramsay's new cook book 'Home Made'? Please!

I am meant to be cooking duck breasts tonight - the recipe is from her new book.

I sneekily looked at the recipe in Waterstones and bought the ingredients.

Now I can't remember what I am meant to do.

Help!

I haven't but saw your name in active convos and wanted to say Hi

We haven't had any BF vs FF spats recently

Beginning to think of improvising!

I would.....a recipe should be a template for your own imagination rather than a script to be followed exactly.

and it isn't without irony that the advert to the right is for Tana Ramsay's book, pmsl

hf128219 · 17/10/2008 20:05

Oh my goodness - that is so funny (the advert)....

if you click on it it takes you to the amazon page and there are thumbnails of some of the recipe pages......but nothing ducklike unfortunately!

hf128219 · 17/10/2008 20:26

Ah well it is turning into a recipe of Tana's/Delia's/Mary Berry's/Everyone else's who is on my book shelf in the kitchen......

let me know how it turns out!!

and next time, don't be so bloody cheap and buy the sodding book

or put it on your Christmas wish list

hf128219 · 17/10/2008 22:19

It was very good! Just roasted them in the oven and then made a sauce with blackcurrant jam, red wine etc.

Daisy - have you seen how many cook books I already have??

I'm guilty of too many as well...DH is always grumbling as I never have time to cook anything nice these days; it's always past or spag bol or chilli or cottage pie

The duck sounds nice though

hf128219 · 17/10/2008 22:45

As an aside is your real name Daisy? I obviously get the play on lack·a·dai·si·cal.

No! It's my cat's name. I was daisybump when i first joined (again what we called the cat, not because I was pregnant), then various other daisy incarnations.

this one came about as a nod to DH and I's less than conscientious attention to birth control measures when I was still BFing DD

Baby is due in 3 weeks!!

hf128219 · 17/10/2008 23:01

OMG! Good luck with the birth. My dd is Daisy!

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 17/10/2008 23:07

DD would have been; if the cat hadn't already had the name but when I got the cat I wasn't planning on children!

off to haul my fat ass up to bed now.

"Talk" to you soon

hf128219 · 17/10/2008 23:09

Sleep tight! Speak soon
