I was thinking of slowly frying the leeks maybe with an onion, then popping them in the sc with some stock and chopped potatoes, then whizzing it later. Will that be ok do you think?

mmmm yummy - giving it a long slow cook should make it very flavoursome (is that a word ) I often make mine then leave it in the oven all day on 75degC. So a slow cooker should be fine.

Yep, I do it often.
I don't bother frying anything although it is nicer that way, I just bung it all in, leave it all day and then whizz before we eat it.
