Have gone a bit made with the quantity of barley I have cooked to go into tonight's beef casserole. What can I do with a pile of cooked barley?

Freeze it and use in a soup eg broth

bin it. It's foul stuff.

I have a vat of spiced pumpkin soup in the fridge I need to use up otherwise I would do soup.

Have found a recipe for barley bread which looks interesting.

here.

I make it into mushroom risotto but cook it from raw so I don't know it if would work with cooked stuff.

I'd freeze it and bung into soups later on

dp makes chicken stock and adds to sweated carrots, onions and celery, chicken bits, pearl barley and lots of parsley. lovely soup, v hearty and restorative when it's getting cold outside!
