I so miss the sainsbury Ainsly Harriot Tangy Tomato Couscous. And the kids loved it.

I can get plain couscous here, so I need to make a flavoured couscous myself.

Please share with me all your wonderful CousCous recipes!!

Ok. Carmenere has told me she wont help, as she thinks I can cook. (HA!)
But I cant cook CousCous - unless it is out of a packet.....

Pretty Purleeze? Or do I have to consult Nigella online????

I only cook couscous from scratch, those packs look mingin.

I normally just pour hot water over the couscous (just covering it) then put cling film or a plate on top and let it steam.

then i chop stuff - onions, peppers, roasted aubergines, heaps of coriander, parsley, preserved lemons, tomatoes, chillis - whatever I fancy or is in the cupboard, and make a dressing.

is that what you mean? or does it have to be "hot"?

You could do a fair mock-up of Ainsley Harriott by adding: some finely chopped garlic; a dollop of tomato puree; a splash of balsamic vinegar; another of Encona sweet chili sauce; to your boiling couscous water, then putting the lot on your plain couscous
I do a tasty and admired couscous salad using a tub of marinated and stoned olives; a big bunch of coriander; spring onions; another big bunch of flat-leaf parsley; some of that sweet chili sauce; and a big handful of the Food Doctor roasted seeds
