That's it really. Gammon happily simmering away in the slow cooker. But, what can we eat it with?

Mash, runner beans, parnsips (though presumably they've not been frosted yet?) broad beans and carrots. Parsley sauce, yum yum.

Or you can do the good old brown sugar and cloves thing, with or without pineapple. Am dribbling now...

Roast potatoes and cauliflower cheese

Parsley sauce - of course! Thanks for these. Lots of suggestions for the coming weeks too. Hope the DCs like it - seems a doddle to cook. Actually, think I'll make half cheese sauce because I can guess how sauce with green bits in will be received.

NotDoingTheHousework - jam and curry powder sounds weird enough that I kind of trust it will work! Shan't do it this week, but if I do, should I leave the skin and fat layer on when I roast it?

Brown sugar and cloves - sounds good but don't think I'll get that one past DH.

We have it like a roast. Roast pots, carrots, gravy, yorkshires, mash, peas and what ever else we have in. It is one of my favorite dinners. And the fact it is done in the slow cooker makes it a hundred times better!
