Sex and the City girly night in - what food to serve?

I've just decided to have a SATC night next week - DVD, Cosmopolitans and girlfriends here.

What food do you suggest? I work FT so it needs to be after-work compatible - although I can make and freeze this weekend.

last time we (the "girls" ) did that we did all kinds of pasta salads and ranch salad, cold meat, prawns etc - all just so that we could pig out big-time on the sweets so boyo did we ...chocolate fudge cake, raspberry pavlova, sundaes etc etc
and pink fizzy shit stuff think it was lambrini or something equally dreadfull. all great fun though!!

how about those little bilini's? not sure what you put on them, but they seem a very good idea at the time

Thanks - definitely cupcakes - me and dds can make those this weekend and freeze them.

Does anyone have any ideas for lovely decorations? Icing sugar and 100s and 1000s would look good - any thoughts of something to contrast with that? I'm wondering if I can get some shoe-shaped decorations.

I can put them on my pink cakestands!

Dd2's just reminded me about the chocolate molds she has in the shape of high-heeled shoes - we'll be on to those tomorrow.
