Can anyone help with a food safety question? Tesco's vegetable paella...

I bought Tesco's vegetarian Vegetable Paella (so no seafood or meat in it, just cooked arboria rice and vegetables) and put it in the freezer, so that my DD could have it on one of the rare days that the rest of the family are having a meat dish and I haven't got time to make a veggie alternative.

But when I came to take it out, I realised I'd missed the message on the package that said it was 'not suitable for home freezing'.

I won't feed it to my DD now, but does anyone know if there are any potential safety issues in eating this food after I've defrosted and reheated it thoroughly, or is it likely to be unsuitable for freezing just because it will affect the texture of the food - if it might just be a bit mushier than it should be, I plan to eat it myself!

it won't be a safety issue, just a textural one

enjoy!

It could have been previously frozen already (although I doubt it).

Rice is notoriously bad from a food poisoning point of view, worse than chicken. Reheat it thoroughly and eat it straight away.
