101 meatballs - what the best way to freeze them?

I seem to have made rather more meatballs than we can possibly eat. I guess I could open-freeze them raw and then bag-up, but would rather cook them with the tomato sauce and freeze the whole thing ready-meal style. Does this work? And if so, what's the best way to reheat them.

TIA.

That's how I do it, cook the meatballs in the tomato sauce, freeze in bags then just defrost and heat in the microwave or in a pan.
