are they ok to eat
I was just going to cut them in half and boil them

some of them were rock hard and I couldn't cut them and most of those were blackened but the rest were just very very cold and cut un half fine, look fine and everything

so they are ok aren't they?

If they look fine and smell fine and are of vegtable origin, then in my house they are eaten.

TrinityRhino · 29/09/2008 17:00

ok thats a vote FOR then

I wish I could do that but I have serious irrational phobias about poisoning my family

Oscar?

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 29/09/2008 17:03

How long were they in the freezer?

It's fine to freeze cooked potato, so I really don't see why it would be a problem raw.

TrinityRhino · 29/09/2008 17:06

they weren't in the freezer at all
they are in the bottom drawer of my new fridge (Oscar)

it is rather colder than any fridge I have ever had, we have only had it a week tomorrow

we have drawers in the bottom where you can set the humidity (not that I have s clue what to set it at)

they potatos were in the bottom drawer and they seem to have got too cold

there was some ice in the bag (tiny bits)
a few tatties were blackened and solid

but the rest looked normal and fine

maybe I'm thinking of the frost ruining potato crops...

freezing potatoes

I don't think you'll kill anyone.

WhereTheWildThingsWere · 29/09/2008 17:09

Hang on this is your SEX FRUDGE??????!!!!!!!!!

Why do you keep potatoes in the fridge?

TrinityRhino · 29/09/2008 17:10

but that says you should blanch them first

maybe thats because not blanching them turns them hazardous

disclaimer: this is my irrational panicky voice talking

Pmsl my ds is Oscar, I was thinking your child has put your tatties in the freezer.

This is now my favourite thread of the day.

GentleOtter · 29/09/2008 17:19

Some ladyfridge pics for Oscar

TrinityRhino · 29/09/2008 17:24

lol yes this is my sex frudge

I'm not sure why I put them in the fridge

except I have the space to

isn't it better to keep them in the fridge??

I mean they will be kept cool and in the dark

OP posts:
WhereTheWildThingsWere · 29/09/2008 17:26

I think a cuboard is better, well better than your malfunctioning sex frudge anyway.

TrinityRhino · 29/09/2008 17:28

HOW VERY DARE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

MY sex frudge is not malfunctioning

I SEEM TO BE!

I can't understand why it is so cold

we also dont have any cupboards with doors, they are all f*ked

so the fridge seemed a good idea

OP posts:
WhereTheWildThingsWere · 29/09/2008 17:31

Think the fridge generally is too cold, I keep most of my veg in the shed on the advice of my veg box man.

Sorry for the frudge baiting, 'twas just too tempting.

TrinityRhino · 29/09/2008 17:32

IN THE SHED!!!

oh god, NOOOOOO
what if I needed to get some veg after dark!

and how many loofahs would hitch a ride inside my home

OP posts:
WhereTheWildThingsWere · 29/09/2008 17:33
