I want some sort of safe carrying container for hot food?

Some mindees I have want to have their tea at home with mum

So I need a safe carrying container with a lid in 2 sizes smallish (2 children portion) larger (plus mum portion)

So any ideas

I am thinking not plastic as it isn't that good for hot food

Am currently using ceramic & foil or pyrex which aren't ideal either - any ideas?

I have seen widenecked stainless steel flasks somewhere for stew and soups, not sure if this is what you mean?

No idea where though - try someone like Lakeland etc?

It doesn't need to keep it hot - just be safe carrying it

Those flasks still have some plastic in the lid, but most of the body is steel. DD uses one for hot lunches. You need to heat them with hot water first, and I always take off the sealing ring to clean behind after use, so a bit fiddly, but I like them.

A flask wouldn't work - the meals can be too solid - fishfingers/salmon/spag bol etc

On a busy night I feed 9 under 5, 3 over 5's, 3 staff, DH, DD & me

Sticking enough in for another person is not difficult - but yes I charge her - for her meal, she pays for her children's anyway

Can be recycled and I would have thought washed and used again if you want to be a bit greener?
