hello hello any masterchefs out there

I want to cook some blueberry muffins today using a simple recipe from the bbc website: do you think it will be OK to use frozen blueberries or should I defrost them first?

Frozen should be ok. And I am by no means a masterchef.

yes, use straight from frozen, they'll be lovely, just as good as fresh ones. If you defrost them first they'll lose juice and get too mushed up when you stir them in.

I just chuck them in frozen and they taste great. But they do sink down to the bottom of the muffin. Next time I make them, I'm going to try putting the berries in once the raw mixture's in the muffin tin iyswim, rather than mixing them in at the mixing bowl stage. That way, I reckon they'll have further to go before they sink to the bottom. They were still delicious though.

frozen fruit is great for muffins,

do not defrost

give muffins an extra 5(ish) minutes.

cut them in half if big
