What does pumpkin taste like? I've honestly never had it. I can't source butternut squash here and really need it for some weaning recipes. Is pumpkin a good alternative...and sorry for hijacking your thread!

or other vegs and tomato and garlic and strips of haloumi cheese on top, cheese mmm yum!

I love pumpkin, none in the shops here yet, Did you grow your own?

notnowbernard · 18/09/2008 19:07

It arrived in the veg box!

Garlic and chilli sounds nice... do I need to cook in oil?

I would coat it in a bit oil but you've probably done it now.

We got a large green pumpkinny looking thing in our box today. I guess it's a squash or gourd, I'm never sure.

I threw in some red onion and fresh tomatoes, olive oil, garlic and chillies

Was lovely, thanks for inspiration
