We do - seasoned flour, then beaten egg, then breadcrumbs, then shallow fry. But I'm sure you could bake or grill if you want to. Frying is v quick, 5 mins, just check they are cooked right through.

Thank you.

I dip in egg and crumbs, put on baking tray lined with parchment then spray with the low fat oil spray stuff, bung in quite hot oven. End up with lovely crunchy low fat nuggets. Also have you tried instead of breadcrumbs very finely crushed plain tortilla chips - DELISH!!

I'm liking the tortilla idea - especially if I get to finish the rest of the packet.

Thanks - will experiment next time.

Hijack.

Anyone knows hot to make the breadcrumbs stick without egg? Egg allergy to consider.

deedledum · 30/07/2008 18:53

I mix them in with some red pesto, mix in breadcrumbs and bake them, delish

deedledum · 30/07/2008 18:54

'them' being chopped up pieces of chicken breast, about 50p size

Saesoned flour, milk, then breadcrumbs also works.

Yes, I do some without egg for dd.
I dip chicken pieces in soya milk and then force breadcrumbs onto chicken!

Also, for other dc (who can have egg & dairy) I use brown breadcrumbs, mixed with finely chopped parsley and grated parmesan - very tasty!

my dd is milk and egg allergic too stirlingmum. Makes life a bit more interesting shall we say.
