Creme fraiche instead of doble cream?

I am making a sauce for fried pork chops with mustard and what was supposed to be double cream. Is it ok to substitute cream for half fat creme fraiche? Thanks

I use creme fresh instead of cream all the time for pasta sauces, it does have a different taste but IMO its still tasty.

It won't be bad but it won't taste the same.

Thanks, it's a recipe I read on these pages. I'm trying to get out of ready meals ruts.
