A little bit of summer on my plate

I've just eaten a lettuce I have grown myself .

It's the first time I have EVER grown anything to eat in my garden and I'm so chuffed.

I tell you what ladies, it's been a bit of a tonic for my PND getting in the garden and doing all the digging, sowing, weeding, potting etc. I'm getting excercise AND I can eat the fruits of my labour!

I feel really happy today even though it's overcast and threatening rain here.

That's brilliant, well done.

It's something I've always wanted to do, but never got off my bum to do it. Now we live in an apartment with no outdoor space so I've missed my chance!

good for u ,this year ive had homegrown by my fair hands -strawberries courgettes green peppers tomatoes and starting on pumpkins for halloween.
we are all feeling the pinch so its cheaper for us all to grow our own fruit and veg.

Wow - that is really impressive! So, do you fancy giving an idiots' guide to gardening lesson for those of us who don't have any clue whatsoever?
