What product(s) would you never compromise on?

okay, so can of tinned tomatoes is a can of tinned tomatoes, wherever it's from.

But for me, after trying various types/brands/Lidl etc, I've decided that you can't compromise on a)Parmesan and b)sanitary towels.

Anyone else?

oh forgot about nappies,
if we buy disposables they have to be naturebaby ones.

Cies · 30/07/2008 16:17

I'm the same as most of you.

Free range eggs.

Proper meat from the butcher, locally sourced.

Apart from that, I'm remarkably easy going. I may prefer the nice brand yoghurt that's so creamy and delicious, but own brand is acceptable.

HuwEdwards · 30/07/2008 16:20

Hair conditioner.

Thisismynewname · 30/07/2008 16:24

Heinz ketchup

GillianLovesMarmite · 30/07/2008 16:40

Am with nannyL re the mooncup and also washable towels (we use washable nappies so why not washable towels).
Also - fairy liquid!

Meat-I now only get locally produced meat from a farm shop and would rather be vegetarian than get supermarket meat.
I try to get all my eggs from the same place.
I have given up on instant coffee and buy fair trade coffee beans.
I am very fussy about bread.

Slouchy · 31/07/2008 08:46

Organic milk wherever possible (but not organic yoghurt etc)
Squash has to be High Juice and free from aspartame and other nasties
