Well, with stale bread you can paint it wth milk, shove it in the oven for a few minutes and it refreshes it (needs to be used immediately though)

You could try it with a couple of them, to see if it works? And if not, then yummy bread and butter pudding.

bread and butter pudding...

tear em up, spread with copious butter, dot with blobs of marmalade (if you like it) spread on, or sultanas chucked in, pour over a mixture of half milk, half cream, sprinkle on lots of brown sugar, cook till squidgy in middle and crisp on top.
