Good Chocolate Muffin receipie needed please

I want to make those American style large muffins but the receipes I've found in my books are basically for cakes not muffins - what I would call cup-cakes. Can anyone help.

Just out of interest - and because I have a deeply hopeless weighing machine - do you know what that flour measurement is in cup measures, which I assume the original recipe was written in?
