They are really vile, yuk

I LOVE them - and so do DSs (4 and 2). So there!

MaryAnnSingleton · 07/07/2008 10:39

hey swampster, you seem to be the only one who thinks they're nice - I will let ds get some anyway !

Get the chocolate covered ones!
Me & DH like them. They aren't as bitter as cranberrys, but not as sweet as raisins. They are quite tough to chew though.
They are actually called Wolf berries in UK, but I guess Goji berries sound more exotic. Hope you and DS like them!

MaryAnnSingleton · 07/07/2008 15:36

well he is eating a small bowl full - I've had 2 and they are quite bitter aren't they ? chocolate covered sounds good !
He says he might prefer them fresh as goji berry juice is nice. He has finished them !

The chocolate covered ones were on special offer at Julian Greaves. £1.99 for a bag. I haven't seen the juice, but they do sell the seeds so you could grow your own Goji plant. Glad you didn't waste "his" money buying them.

I'll keep putting them out in a bowl until they're gone - he didn't have to eat them but did,so they can't be that awful

the juice was mixed with some other fruit juice -possibly mango, so maybe that's why he liked it !!

Just read about them having lots of tannin in which makes sense with what I was going to say - taste likes a dried out old tea bag

MaryAnnSingleton · 07/07/2008 16:57

they cost £3.99 - we're going to have to persevere
